I found the 2010 Super Bowl halftime performance by The Who to be a let down. I went into it thinking about their performances in the 70s. My fault for not taking the aging process in to account.

Glad you and Edgar got to see Don perform and I too hope he is reading your book.

Andrea, I just wanted to say that I had preordered your novel and it’s been taunting me from my office bookshelf since September but a thing called ‘underwriting’ kept coming between us.

I’m on a Christmas vacation with my husband in Punta Cana and read it in a day and a half, I couldn’t put it down! The premise, characters, narratives, descriptions, just were amazing and drew me in.

I appreciate the acknowledgements to your publisher and ‘She Writes Press’. Now that I know a published author I just might be reaching out at some point. I’ve had my ‘20-30’ years in the insurance business ( loved that reference!!) now I want to find my channel and follow that ‘what-if’.

I'm so happy to hear that. I love thinking of my book traveling all the way to Punta Cana. I would love to help in any way on your journey. I also would really appreciate a review on Amazon & Goodreads when you have a minute.

The oldest artist I have seen is Judy Collins, 85. She played in Newport at the Jane Pitkin’s Theater this summer and I was only a few rows back. A couple of times she struggled with a very high note but otherwise, her voice was clear, strong and beautiful. She appeared to be quite robust. She also played guitar and piano. She talked a lot between songs, providing fascinating insight into the stories of her life and her music, and sang her biggest hits. Both Sides now. Bring In The Clowns.

I also saw Tower of Power a couple of weeks ago. 3 or 4 of the horn players have been in the band since 1968 and played amazingly. They had a younger man singing the lead on vocals. They played for 90 minutes non-stop.

I was amazed at Judy Collins at the Grammy's. You are right her voice was absolutely lovely.

Carolyn and I see "old" artists all the time. As a concert attendee one must accept they can't hit the same notes of have the same volume. On the flip side, it is often easier to follow/understand the lyrics and to feel more emotion from the singers. Sadly some artists stay on the road too long and one wishes to get that 90 minutes of your life back. For us, Gordon Lightfoot, was one who was on the road too long. Loved that guys songs but felt robbed at the last show we saw.

I knew you and Carolyn did a lot of that. That is too bad about Gordan Lightfoot. I love his songs too.

The Eagles are my absolute favorite band ever. I saw them about a year ago which would make most of their members in their mid seventies. Other than a few songs sung in a noticeably lower octave, they sounded and looked great.

I’m hoping you hear that Don read and loved your book!!
