Being a Grateful Dead fan, they hold the top ten or so spots for me. But my first concert is also memorable, and much like Andrea’s Meatloaf, more for non music reasons. My best friend and I got tickets to see Boston in Hartford CT when we were around 15 years old. We took a bus from Manchester into the “big city”. Our partying consisted of the warm Coors light we each smuggled on to the bus - no one knew since we used a brown paper bag! Our night ended when my mom picked us up after her waitressing shift at Valley’s Steak House ended. At the time, it seemed like a pretty wild night.
I wish I could remember all the concerts I attended. One that I recall and think I enjoyed was KISS many years ago. The concert I wished I had attended was a 1977 Led Zeppelin performance, but my parents wisely did not allow me to go.
I hope you figure out a way to get a book in the hands Don, good luck with that endeavor.
Two things I thought of after I hit Publish for this newsletter. I should have asked you to share your favorite concert. Mine could be Meatloaf. It was a blast for a bunch of reasons some not related to his performance. And now that he is gone, it adds some poignancy to seeing one of his last performances.
The second item is that you don't need to have bought the book on Amazon to write an Amazon review. Amazon welcomes reviews as long as you are an Amazon customer. I think that means you have to have spent $50 on Amazon in the past year. One reader shared that she doesn't have an amazon account. More power to her!
I don’t know Don but hope your plan works!!!
